What’s your favorite style?
I find that being able to put your ideal decorating style into words helps create a clearer vision for your home’s look and feel.
Describing what you love most makes decision-making easier when choosing paint, furniture, or accessories.
Recognizing that a style you like might not be a perfect fit for your current home can actually be freeing. It lets you adjust your approach and head in a more defined direction.
I often feel torn between several styles because I love so many. During nesting seasons like fall and winter I can be dangerous in a decor shop (or even at home) without a few self-imposed guidelines.
Loving multiple styles doesn’t mean you must incorporate all of them. I enjoy mixing things, but I try not to let too many options derail a cohesive plan.
You might pin images of one aesthetic on Pinterest, yet live in or prefer something entirely different in real life. That’s perfectly fine—photos can inspire us even when the look wouldn’t feel right in our everyday spaces.
My home and style are always evolving, so I regularly reassess my preferences to stay on track toward creating a space I truly love.
