Disconnect and Read: A Quiet Holiday Day 20

I know it might sound odd, but after writing so many “things to do” posts, I start to feel a little guilty. Even though this is a blog and part of a 31-day series, I worry I’m piling on too many tasks and suggestions. It’s funny — I find myself thinking about it throughout the day. I can’t imagine anyone keeping up with everything I suggest, and the thought makes me laugh out loud.

So today I’m easing off. Remember: fall isn’t only about preparing for holidays. It’s also a time to enjoy and savor the small moments. Take a breather and do something simple that brings you joy.

That’s my inspiration for this lovely autumn day. Go savor some moments!

Turn off your computer if you can (yes, really), and spend time doing something pleasant at home.

What would be your ideal activity today?

Reading a book? Taking a nap? Puttering around the house?

Are there books you’re hoping to read this fall and winter? I’d love your recommendations.
