Below I’m sharing a few of my favorite seasonal finds that always make me smile.

Animal Ornaments

I’ve loved animal ornaments since our Woodland Christmas Tree back in 2012. They still bring me so much joy. A reindeer in a knit sweater holding a marshmallow on a stick—ready to make a s’more—just melts my heart.

Felt animals sitting in tiny Adirondack chairs around a campfire roasting s’mores? Yes please. Little sets like “Campfire Friends” feel whimsical and nostalgic—perfect for a cozy tree.

Some faces on these ornaments are impossible not to love.

And then there are the delightfully unexpected pieces—like skiing poodles—that make decorating feel playful.

I can’t resist a sweet fluffy sheep ornament either—those textures add warmth and charm to any tree.

Whimsical Coastal Ornaments

A few years ago I nicknamed our holiday style “Forest and Sea,” inspired by living between the woods and the water in Seattle. I still love a whimsical coastal vibe at the holidays—little sea-inspired ornaments feel fresh alongside woodland pieces. I picked up similar coastal ornaments at a local garden store and loved how they blended with the rest of our decor.

Festive Mugs

I love my morning coffee ritual and choosing a festive mug each day. Santa mugs, tree mugs, or snowman designs add a cheerful touch to chilly mornings and small, daily moments of holiday joy.

Village Houses

Many of us collect holiday villages over the years. Setting ours up again felt like reviving a lovely tradition. Handmade ceramic villages or simple sets from big stores both create a cozy miniature scene that draws people in.

Pre-lit twinkling twig trees add a magical glow.

I always enjoy decorating with fairy light trees. We even keep a birch-style light up in our bedroom year-round for a soft, cozy glow.

Last year we used paper woodland trees on our dining table to create a festive winter scene. They were simple, light, and felt wonderfully seasonal.

One more animal ornament because I can’t help it: tiny polar bear explorers on a sailboat are impossibly cute and add a whimsical touch to any display.
