Christmas 2010: Memorable Moments, Photos & Top Highlights

Christmas 2010

Our tiny tree wore simple prayer chains from church, a gentle reminder of gratitude and the needs of others. It felt good to pause, give thanks, and celebrate the blessings we often take for granted.

There were small surprises under the tree—every little find added to the warmth and wonder of the day.

We sang Christmas carols throughout the day, and used a chalkboard on the fridge to jot down songs and notes that kept spirits bright.

Hot drinks were plentiful—coffee, hot chocolate, and marshmallows were on repeat as we relaxed and visited together.

We displayed greeting cards and cherished each message from friends and family—those small tokens felt truly special.

Our furry companions joined in the fun—Winston even got a festive haircut and enjoyed the attention.

Traditions were kept and silly jokes were shared; laughter filled the house as we made simple memories together.

Amidst the festivities we paused to remember the Reason for the season, embracing faith and reflection.

When worry threatened to intrude, our little motto—keep calm and carry on—helped us reclaim joy and perspective.

We read the Christmas story aloud and joined the rest of the world in that timeless celebration of hope and joy.

That special ornament was a thoughtful addition to our tree and a quiet reminder of meaning and grace.

Christmas at our house was peaceful and full of simple joy. Choosing peace made all the difference.

We traded screens for conversation, stress for laughter, and constant motion for restful moments. We watched favorite holiday films, indulged in treats, and dozed by the fire when we could.

Now the last of our family guests have left and I’m preparing my daughter for surgery on Monday to remove her tonsils. Through all of it, I want you to know how grateful I am for the support and kindness of blogging friends—your visits and warm words helped make this season bright.

We are also keeping Edie and her family in our prayers after their house fire during the holidays. While the loss of a home is devastating, we are thankful that everyone escaped unharmed—a truly priceless blessing.
