If there’s one thing I adore as much as a beautiful kitchen, it’s adding charming little pieces to it. I collect striped towels, breadboards, rustic wooden spoons and an ever-growing assortment of coffee mugs. I also have a soft spot for attractive cookbooks. Guilty as charged—I often buy a cookbook because the cover captured me. I like to believe the inside will inspire me to cook, but more often than not I bought it simply because the design was irresistible.
I recently picked up a new cookbook by a Northwest author who also owns a restaurant, and the title immediately appealed to me. The book feels like the right fit for this season. Of course, a jar of pumpkin butter is also on my list—it’s one of those essentials that makes autumn feel complete.
