31-Day Autumn Countdown — Day 20: Cozy Knits for Fall

Pottery Barn

Greetings, friends of The Inspired Room!

It’s me, Kate — also known as Centsational Girl! I’m delighted to be here today as a guest for one of my favorite bloggers. Melissa is away speaking at Relevant this week, and I’m honored to share Day 20 of 31 Days of Autumn Bliss. Today’s theme: Get Cozy with Knits.

To me, autumn knits come in two perfect forms: scarves and throws. Heading out? Wrap a colorful scarf around your neck, grab a warm drink, and enjoy the crisp air. Staying in? Curl up under a soft throw with family or friends and watch classic movies. Both options bring that comforting, cozy feeling that makes fall so special.

Here are a few of my recent finds that combine warmth and style.

Throw Blankets:

Top throw picks:

  • Pom Pom Throw — $59
  • Chunky Knit — $89.50
  • Lazo Peacock Throw — $60
  • Fringed Houndstooth — $60
  • Mendocino Throw — $50
  • Mink Faux Fur — $57
  • Rosette Throw — $178
  • Vinalhaven Wool Throw — $198
  • Quirky Heirloom Throw — $198
  • Combed Cotton Knit — $50

Scarves:

“Scarves are an essential piece to your fall and winter wardrobe. They’re an affordable, versatile way to refresh an outfit while keeping you warm without the bulk of a heavy sweater. A scarf can elevate a simple look, carry you from a football game to a holiday party, and one or two will usually see you through the season.” — Jennifer Rosson of Style Your Life

Ruffles, stripes, fringe and faux fur are on trend this season. Below are several stylish options under $60, including some cashmere choices.

Favorite everyday scarves under $60:

  • Puckered Salutation Scarf
  • Echo Sparkle Ruffle
  • Bold Brush Stripe
  • Dip Stripe Cashmere
  • Fringed Infinity Scarf
  • Cashmere Scarves from Target
  • Wintertide Scarf

For the splurge-worthy scarves:

  • Jacquard Waterweave
  • Josephine Scarf (handmade on Etsy)
  • Diane von Furstenberg Ludgate

And for the little ones — how sweet are these knit baby hats? (from Ooops I Knit It Again)

Precious!

Cozy, cozy, cozy — that’s what fall is all about.

Thanks so much for having me, Melissa. Cheers to the remaining days of Autumn Bliss at The Inspired Room!

Thank you so much, Kate, for letting me take a day off to travel to Relevant! I love this post — fall is the coziest season of all.

Do you add cozy throws to your chairs and sofas for fall?

I have a pom pom throw like the one pictured and I adore it — super cozy and perfect for chilly evenings.
