Today I wanted to share a few practical organization projects to inspire you (and me) to get organized before the new year begins.

Pick one small space to organize before the New Year even begins!

Reserve an afternoon to clear out expired or unused cosmetics and medicines.
Gather small bins, trays, and containers to keep items tidy and easy to find. Lining the back of a medicine cabinet with contact paper or a decorative wallpaper adds a pleasant pop of color or pattern every time you open the door.
Start the new year with a fresh, organized linen closet or create a dedicated guest linen cabinet.
Sort linens by type and fold uniformly to maximize shelf space. Use labels or clear bins to keep things visible and easy to access, and reserve a shelf for guest essentials so visitors feel welcome without digging through your everyday supplies.

If you have business or creative goals coming up, give yourself a functional space that encourages productivity. A pegboard is an inexpensive, flexible solution to keep tools, supplies, and inspiration within sight and reach.
Choose one organizing task you’ve been putting off and schedule a time to complete it.
For example, organizing gift wrap is quick and satisfying: install a few cup hooks and dowels on a wall or the back of a door to store rolls of paper and spools of ribbon neatly and accessibly.
