Fall is my favorite season — you probably already knew that. If I could spend the entire autumn tucked inside, cozy and puttering around the house, I would. Lately I felt a bit off because I didn’t have time to decorate for fall the way I wanted to.

Velvet Pumpkins / Mirror
Finally, this weekend I made time to make the living room cozier. This space has been in transition for a while, and I don’t like rooms that feel stuck. Honestly, it’s been in limbo — and limbo drives me crazy.
Even though the room isn’t fully finished, I realized transition doesn’t have to mean neglect. Instead of leaving the space alone, I focused on increasing the cozy factor.
That’s one of the best things about fall: you can change the entire feel of a room by adding texture, warmth, and soft accents.

I loved arranging these plush velvet pumpkins from LoveFeast Shop. My dog Jack found them amusing — at first he treated them like intruders. He’s funny about fuzzy things; sometimes he acts like they might be animals. I was nervous he would paw at them, but he calmed down and even seemed to accept the one on the stool.
The pumpkins are even more beautiful in person. The velvet textures, real stems, and feathered details are striking and unique. I’ve been staring at them and enjoying the way they warm up the space.
