Praise be—the first official day of spring is this Sunday, so I treated myself to a few fresh finds from Target (not sponsored—just a little affordable online shopping therapy). I wanted to share what I picked up in case it sparks ideas for your own seasonal refresh.
At the start of every season I like to take a few moments to refresh the home. You don’t need a major overhaul; small, deliberate swaps and edits can lift your mood and help you feel connected to the changing season. Seeing spring reflected in your surroundings makes your home feel lighter and more intentional.
You don’t have to buy anything—use what you already own. Tidy up areas that have grown cluttered, store away heavy winter items, and make a simple seasonal ritual of refreshing your space each month.

If you enjoy seasonal rhythms or want a home that feels nurturing year-round, I recently wrote a book called A Lovely Life. It’s full of simple ideas and photographs to inspire seasonal rituals and gentle routines that make home life more comforting.
A Lovely Life is a hardback with encouraging text and images to help you embrace simple beauty, rituals, and rhythms across the year. If the pace of life feels overwhelming and you’d like to savor a calmer, more intentional home life, this book offers practical, down-to-earth inspiration.
The book releases in May, but you can preorder now so you’ll be among the first to receive it.
For spring I wanted a fresh, organic, and soft look—lots of greenery, textured baskets, and pretty pillow covers to brighten the living room.

I prefer real plants, but since we recently moved, faux greenery has been practical while I decide where live plants will go and which varieties will thrive in this house. Faux plants have helped me settle in without the pressure of plant care. I also added realistic faux tulips I shared on the blog recently.

I swap pillow covers each season—an easy way to refresh the look of a room. While Target doesn’t always sell covers separately, the pillows I bought have zippers, so switching covers and inserts is quick and simple.

The scalloped basket felt like a perfect spring purchase. I’ve hung it on the wall for now, but it will also work beautifully on a door, the covered porch, or as a seasonal accent filled with branches or flowers. I love its shape and versatile charm.
Happy almost spring!
PS. If you missed it, last week I shared more of our living room and talked about spring puttering around the house.

Scroll the photos above for details on the pieces I’m using this season.
