Last year’s Christmas House

With the festive season here, I wanted to share five of my recent Amazon finds that make great Christmas decor and gifts.

Below are the items I purchased, pictured and described, with related ideas and ways to use them.

Candle snuffer
Box of non-shattering clear ornaments (perfect to fill with botanicals and moss)
Red berry branches in three sizes (longer stems, shorter stems, and very short stems)
Oval frame and Round frame

I keep a running collection of favorite items in my Amazon storefront for easy browsing and inspiration.

1. Candle Snuffer

I mostly use battery-operated candles, but I still enjoy the glow of real candles on occasion. Reaching to blow them out on the mantel was always a challenge for me, so I ordered a simple, affordable candle snuffer. It’s practical and looks charming displayed with candles—also a thoughtful add-on when gifting real candles.

2. Shatterproof Fillable Ornaments

With puppies and little ones around, I wanted ornaments that wouldn’t break. I picked up shatterproof clear ornaments that open at the top so you can fill them with soft botanicals or moss. They’re easy to personalize and would make creative, homemade gifts.

I’m planning a crafting session to fill these with seasonal bits—they’re simple to assemble and look lovely on the tree.

3. Berry and Evergreen Branches

I added red berry branches to my seasonal greenery this year. I ordered multiple sizes and lengths so I can layer them into wreaths, garlands, and arrangements for a natural, festive look.

There are longer and shorter stems as well as extra small berry stems that are great for twisting into smaller projects. I also picked up faux evergreen branches and some dried eucalyptus to mix textures and colors.

4. Round and Oval Photo Frames

I love these charming frames with bow details—perfect for family photos and sweet holiday gifts for moms and grandmas. I bought both the oval and round designs and plan to fill them with seasonal family pictures.

Bonus idea: a digital photo frame is an excellent gift too—great for sharing many photos without extra printing.

I like to buy frames when I spot ones I love so I can keep a rotation of family photos around the house. You’ll find more frame options saved in my storefront.

5. Paper Snowflake Garland

I ordered paper snowflake garlands to hang in windows and around doorways. They’re lightweight, compact, and already strung—making them easy to drape for instant seasonal charm. They remind me of the larger paper snowflakes I’ve enjoyed for years and are fun to layer with other decor.

My dog Finnegan is curious about them—he’ll be experiencing his first Christmas, which makes decorating even more special this year.

BONUS GIFT IDEA

If you’re shopping for dog lovers, check out a dedicated pet category in my storefront. I’ve added fun activity puzzles and essential items for pups like Finnegan and Lily—great stocking stuffers and practical gifts for pet owners.

Happy shopping and decorating, friends!
