Spring has arrived, and I’m thinking about green.
Whether it’s plants, books, textiles, accessories, paint, lighting, or produce, a touch of green brings a room to life. This season I especially love pairing fresh green with white. At home I find myself collecting green books to stack around the house and pulling out green accessories to brighten corners. And of course I keep plenty of plants on hand.
Magazines often include something organic in every room — a plant, branches, or a bouquet. I appreciate bouquets, but I prefer living plants because they last longer. Years ago I asked my husband for a potted plant instead of cut flowers; it felt more practical and lasting. Plants do sometimes fail, but many thrive for months or years, making them a worthwhile way to add life and texture to your space. Try a few varieties to see what suits your light and routine.
