YYou know what design element I adore in a room? Sconces. They bring an immediate sense of warmth and intimacy, casting soft, layered light that makes a space feel cozy and welcoming. Whether they flank a bed, brighten a kitchen, or highlight an entryway, wall sconces shape mood and atmosphere in a way few fixtures can.
I’m thrilled with the lighting in our kitchen; the sconces create a mood I love. I rarely use the overhead lights in the evening because the softer wall lighting feels more inviting and romantic. I’m always on the lookout for places to add more sconces around our home.
Below are inspiration images featuring sconces used in different rooms and settings. At the end of the post you’ll find a few of the sources I like for stylish wall lighting.
