Happy Monday! Kylee here with another entry update. I wanted to share the new artwork I added to the entry — a colorful piece that helps make the space feel warm and welcoming. Art was a top priority when finishing this area, and I was excited to work with Minted again. I’ve used their prints before when creating a gallery wall in my previous home, so I knew their selection and framing options would be a good fit for this house. Buying art from independent artists around the world has never been easier.

Art Source: Morning Mist by Lorent and Leif

One of the things I love most about Minted is their “view in my room” tool. I’m very visual, so being able to preview art on the wall changed the way we chose pieces. With a simple mobile AR preview you can see how a print will look at scale in your actual space. My husband and I browsed together, selected a few favorites, and virtually tried them on the wall to help decide what felt right. That feature gave us the confidence to pick the piece that works best for our entry.

We chose a print called Morning Mist by Lorent and Leif. It’s subtle and a little moody, and the colors really resonated with us. In this space we went with the 40×30 size in a matte brass frame and selected UV-plexi to reduce glare, since the wall gets some direct light. The scale and finish were important to keep the composition feeling balanced and cohesive with the rest of the entry decor.

Art Source: Broken Clouds by Stephanie Goos Johnson

We also added Broken Clouds by Stephanie Goos Johnson to lean on the new entry cabinet. That piece is mounted in a walnut frame, and it brings a softer, atmospheric feeling that complements the Morning Mist print. Layering framed art, whether hung or leaned, helps create a relaxed, collected look in an entry without feeling overdone.

Minted has generously offered readers of The Inspired Room a discount code for 20% off framed art plus free shipping!

Thank you to Minted for providing the artwork featured here.

More to come on my entry! I’ll be back soon to show the full space in the context of the living room and to share ideas for creating the look of a dedicated entry area, even when your home doesn’t have a separate entry room.
