I’m a putterer.
I enjoy arranging and refreshing small corners of my home—moving objects, polishing surfaces, and changing displays. These small tweaks are calming and satisfying for me. They don’t require the commitment of a major project or a full room makeover, so I can do them whenever I need a quick pick-me-up.
Recently I swapped a dresser out of the dining room and replaced it with a baker’s rack. The dresser moved to the family room and I’ll share an update on that space soon. I tend to work on a lot of little projects at once, so I’m liable to mention more updates as I finish them.
The arrangement on the baker’s rack now is similar to what I had in February, but with a few fresh touches. I brought out more white dishes and added a couple of white pitchers that had been on the mantel. I placed some apples under a glass dome for a simple, seasonal vignette and tucked in a small bouquet to bring a touch of sunshine indoors.
I considered changing the word on the chalkboard, but my chalk pen hasn’t been cooperating, so I left it as is for now.

Thinking about how small changes can lift your mood reminds me of past posts on the topic and why I keep returning to these easy, joyful edits around the house.
