Weekend TJ Maxx Finds: Top Deals and Stylish Buys Under $50

Hello, friends in my virtual corner of the internet! How are you? I’ve been exceptionally busy lately — the kind of busy that’s energizing and exhausting all at once — but I’m moving through a lot of projects and that feels good. I shared a short, honest reflection recently, and it reminded me that I regularly overcommit and have to slow down and prioritize. It’s a work in progress.

This weekend I went shopping for a few pieces for my office, which is slowly coming together. While out, I found a charming little basket that made my day.

I have a thing for hanging interesting objects on walls, and this basket — made of chicken wire and twigs — felt like a perfect find at TJ Maxx. It has a simple, rustic charm that caught my eye.

I had intended to add it to the collection of baskets I’ve displayed by my front door, but once I brought it home I realized it looked better on its own, on the stairwell wall. It may move again in the future, but for now it makes a sweet, understated statement there and really shows off its texture and shape.

For some reason it gave me a bit of a beachy or nautical vibe, the sort of thing I imagine a small fishing basket might look like — even though I’ve never fished and can’t say what a real fishing basket is like. I don’t much like to watch fish flop around, but I do like the look of this basket. Even if it’s not actually related to fishing, it simply appealed to me, and that’s enough.

Small decorative finds like this are an easy, inexpensive way to refresh a space. A new object, placed thoughtfully, can change how a wall reads and make an area feel more finished. Whether you’re working on an office, a stairwell, or an entry, consider adding a single, well-chosen piece to give the space personality.

How was your weekend? Did you find anything fun or do anything special?
