Greetings, blog friends! How is your week going? I’ve been hosting guests all week and preparing for MOVE #2. No, I’m not moving to a different house — I’m still moving into the same house we first moved into in January.
Am I crazy? Perhaps. Yes.
I seem to take forever to complete a move. Why do my moves always feel so complicated? Maybe moving is just complicated for everyone. Either way, it’s been a process.
The bright side: my Portland house has a sale pending, with a backup offer, which feels like a small miracle in this challenging market. Happy dance! That means I can finally start bringing the rest of my belongings to the house. Of course, a sale isn’t final until it’s final, but I’m eager to bring my things home. It’s going to feel like Christmas around here — sofas, chairs, accessories, oh my!

Meanwhile, I’m dreaming up lots of ideas for the new house, so you’ll see changes and updates here on the blog. I’ll be asking for your input on a few design questions and sharing inspiration photos as things evolve over the coming months.
Bear with me while I make a few more trips between Portland and Washington trying to get everything into one state. My brain is a little scattered right now, but hopefully I’ll be settled and focused soon.
