Cordless lamps are one of the most useful additions you can make to a home. They provide a soft, warm glow wherever you need it—without relying on a nearby outlet or leaving a cord dangling.
I use cordless lamps throughout our house: on the fireplace mantel, on a rattan cart in the kitchen, in the gift-wrap closet, on a bathroom counter, in the guest room, and now inside my coffee cabinet. Once you start using them, you’ll notice many more spots where they’re handy.
So far I own two cordless lamp styles, and both have been practical, easy to charge, sturdy, and great value. Below I share details about each style and photos of them in use around my home.

1. Bronze / gold cordless lamps
These lamps are available as a single piece or as a set of two, and come in several shade colors and finishes. Their simple, classic design makes them easy to move wherever you want a little extra light.

2. Rattan-shade lamps with white bases
These cordless lamps come with two interchangeable shades; I chose a set that includes one white shade and one rattan shade. There are additional finishes and shade options, including striped variations. They’re waterproof, so they work well on a porch or other semi-outdoor spots.

I’ve written more about these lamps in other posts.

I recently placed one of these lamps inside my coffee cabinet to create a cozy morning nook—it’s a small change that makes a big difference in ambiance.

These lamps let you select a cooler or warmer light tone with a simple tap on the top. Above is an example showing the cooler-toned light.
