Funky Time’s Gallery Wall
You all brought amazing energy to the Gallery Wall party! The creativity on display was inspiring, and I loved seeing so many different approaches. Thank you to everyone who participated — I picked up several ideas I want to try myself. One standout was a completely unique, changeable gallery wall featured in my DIY section; it’s playful and practical, and I’m hoping to build something similar soon.
There were so many wonderful gallery walls shared that I’ll be posting a couple of wrap-ups in the near future to highlight more favorites. One I especially love is the framed black-and-white print gallery wall set against a bold blue paint from Funky Time. The contrast is striking and charming at once.
I’m excited to share more of the great submissions — you all had some fantastic layouts and styling ideas!
And now for the question of the week that I’m sure is keeping you all up at night:
Q. How is the bathroom coming along?
Oh, that. {clears throat} Yeah, I’m glad you asked.
A. We’ve had more trouble than expected with the bathroom paint — not so much the surprising teal color, which I’ve come to accept, but the white trim and board-and-batten paint. After a few experiments that didn’t go as planned, the trim has been re-primed and we’re essentially starting over. Frustrating, yes, but moving forward.
On a brighter note, my daughter and I decided on a whim to remove the Formica backsplash and create a DIY replacement. It turned out cute and added a fresh, personal touch to the space. I’m hopeful the bathroom will be finished next week, provided no more surprises pop up.
So, have you done your taxes? If you’re self-employed, did you procrastinate like I did? That’s what I’m tackling today.
