I have some news at the end of this post, so don’t miss it! 🙂
Slowly but surely I’ve been making progress on my home office. Recently I added a flea market rattan bookshelf that I adore, and I also brought in the IKEA Alex drawer system to help tame clutter. Once I organized everything, the drawers became indispensable for small crafts, paper, art prints, and office supplies.

My only real challenge was remembering what was in each drawer. I kept opening drawer after drawer looking for something until I finally decided to label them. Instead of waiting to order fancy labels, I used the Martha Stewart gold and white stickers I already had and handwrote each label. It was quick, effective, and—best of all—the job is done.
I’d been procrastinating about labeling because I thought I needed something more elaborate, but the simple handwritten stickers work perfectly. Sometimes finishing a small task like this is exactly what you need to keep momentum and actually enjoy your organized space.

I still love having my Nespresso coffee station in the office. Coffee has been fueling my work as I prepare for my book launch and other projects I’ll share soon. Thank you for all the kind words about my book post and the little print shown above. I’ll be offering downloads of that print and many others, including a special art print of the book cover, so pin this post and I’ll share the download link when it’s ready.

That little deer head on the wall above my light sparks lots of conversation. My husband thinks it’s the silliest thing, but I love quirky animal accessories. They add humor and personality to a room—no shame, no regrets.

I don’t think I mentioned the lamps yet. I accidentally ordered a different color than intended for our bedroom, but they looked great in the office so I kept them. They’re substantial in size and I love their swirl/marble pattern. We bought the pair on sale, and they’ve been a perfect fit here.
