Hi friends! Kylee here (Melissa’s daughter) — I’m excited to share my daughter Lila’s finished nursery.
I’ve been meaning to share this for a while — Lila is almost one already! I’m so happy with how the room came together and grateful to finally have photos to show you.

You may remember this room as my former home office/guest room. The function changed, but many elements stayed the same: we kept the original wall color and window treatments and leaned into a botanical, garden-inspired theme with butterflies, birds, and floral accents.
Much of what I used was already on hand or secondhand. I’ve noted similar sources where possible and included a shop roundup at the end of the post for reference.

The crib was one of the few new, larger purchases and a gift from my mom. I love its vintage-meets-modern shape and the soft cream finish — it’s not bright white, which feels warmer in the room.

The wall color is Benjamin Moore Louisburg Green. It’s a gentle gray-green that feels calm and soothing for a nursery.

The vintage dresser has been in our family for decades — it belonged to my grandma, then my parents, and now to us. When we first refinished it in 2009 we watered down white paint and wiped it back for a soft, whitewashed look. It’s picked up some scuffs over the years, which I think adds character.

The artwork above the dresser came from pages of an old calendar, which gives a nostalgic, affordable touch. Similar botanical prints can achieve the same feel.

Note on the pink lamp: I tried a DIY pleated shade with hot glue and it didn’t go as planned. Live and learn — some projects are trickier than the tutorials suggest.

The linen curtains we used are no longer available, but there are very similar options that give the same soft, airy look. The Roman shades are blackout-lined for practical light control.

I like having a few hook rails on the walls for displaying outfits and keeping essentials handy. The wall shelf provides a spot for seasonal displays that I can refresh throughout the year.

If you’re debating whether to invest in a quality glider — I hesitated too — but it’s been indispensable. I use it daily for feedings, naps, stories, and bedtime routines. Comfortable seating makes those newborn months easier.

Thank you for stopping by to peek at Lila’s room. I hope it sparks a bit of inspiration for your own nursery or simply adds a pleasant moment to your day.
