Introducing: The Inspired Room Community!
After receiving many messages and emails, I’m excited to invite you to The Inspired Room Community. A few weeks ago I asked if you’d be interested in a private Facebook group for friends and kindred spirits from The Inspired Room, and the response was an enthusiastic yes.
So let’s do this!
A few years ago my daughters and I created a community blog called Home Love Stories where members shared photos of their homes. We loved that project, and many of you did too, so we decided to revive the community concept. While Home Love Stories is on hold for now, we think a Facebook group will be an easy, friendly way for most people to connect. I hope you’ll join us!

For the past twelve years of blogging, and especially lately, I’ve been grateful for how the internet brings like-minded people together. It’s been wonderful to connect with readers—women at home or on their phones—who might never meet otherwise. Those connections have been encouraging and uplifting.
As the online world changes, finding a true sense of community can feel harder. I hope this group will restore that sense of closeness by gathering our friends into a smaller, friendlier space. The Facebook format makes it easy to get to know one another, and it helps me get to know YOU better too.
I’ve been running a private group for the Dwell Well Collective (my Young Living members), and it’s become a place where many women in the group have grown into close friends. My daughters and I are active in our home and wellness education community and enjoy supporting women entrepreneurs there. It’s been a very positive experience.
Many of you may already be part of the Dwell Well Collective community (it’s free for anyone who gets a starter kit or reactivates a membership). You’re welcome to join both communities.
Our new group, The Inspired Room Community, is FREE and open to anyone who wishes to join. To be approved you’ll need to be subscribed to my newsletter/blog posts and answer the membership questions when requesting access.

The Inspired Room Community
What will the community be like? It will be community-led—shaped mostly by what members post and discuss—as long as topics relate to home and reflect the friendly spirit of The Inspired Room.
I don’t plan to post design advice regularly there at this time, since I’m continuing to blog, working on a new book, managing Instagram, and leading the Dwell Well Collective. That said, my daughters and I will be present and participate when we can. We’re eager to get to know you better.
The Inspired Room Community will be a space for authenticity. Share photos of your home, bring related questions, and exchange ideas with others.
Share your seasonal decorating, favorite corners, daily routines, remodeling projects, and the small details that make your home yours. Ask decorating questions and expect thoughtful, kind responses—this group will be a positive, encouraging place. Sales, promotions, and mean or judgmental behavior will not be allowed.
One note: please keep commenting on the blog. I read every comment and appreciate your engagement. Blog comments also enter you into the Surprise Box giveaways.
The community is free. The requirements to join are simple: know who I am (we screen to prevent party crashers), follow the blog and subscribe to The Inspired Room newsletter/posts, and be a friendly, respectful person.
To kick things off, we’ve set up an introductions post and are hosting a giveaway inside the group (this is separate from the Surprise Box Giveaway for blog and Instagram comments). Our first Surprise Box Giveaway will be announced soon.
After you join and are approved, introduce yourself on the welcome post to enter the group giveaway and help us get to know you. The welcome post is visible once you are a member.
