Hello, I’m Jack — a friendly Goldendoodle with a fondness for mischief and a soft spot for anything that squeaks. My human suggested I write a guest post since I have plenty of time on my paws, so here is my Christmas wish list and a few thoughts from the dog behind the tail wag.
Christmas is my favorite time of year. The house smells different, there are new scents to investigate, and best of all, there are boxes everywhere. Boxes are an absolute delight: they crinkle, you can hide in them, and they always seem to appear right when I need a nap spot.
When it comes to presents, I appreciate things that are soft to cuddle, fun to chase, and made to stand up to a determined chewing session. A cozy blanket keeps me warm during winter naps, while a stuffed penguin or a plush bear gives me something to carry around and show off. A sturdy collar and a classic sweater make walks and outings both comfortable and stylish, and a tag with my name helps ensure I get home if I wander off on one of my adventures.
I also enjoy toys that trigger my instincts — things I can toss, catch, and fetch. A well-made baseball toy is perfect for playing in the yard, and a soft friend is great for quiet time. Of course, treats are always welcome, but the boxes those treats arrive in might be the best part.
I may get into a little trouble now and then, but I promise my intentions are good: I’m just exploring, practicing my zoomies, and trying to spread a little joy. If you’re picking out a gift for a dog, think cozy, durable, and fun. And if you happen to have an empty box, I will be very grateful.
That’s all for now. Wishing you a warm and playful holiday season.
Love,
Jack
