House Tour
BI’m excited to share a beautiful house tour from a recent trip to Atlanta. Last week I attended a small Ballard Designs blogger event and had the chance to visit a newly built private residence that was being styled and photographed for an upcoming catalog. The home was filled with Ballard furniture and accessories, and every room was thoughtfully arranged for the shoot.

I only had my phone camera with me, so the photos don’t capture all the detail, but this home was truly stunning. The designers added furnishings and accessories to highlight the best features of each room, creating a warm, inviting atmosphere that felt both elegant and livable.

Those painted ceiling beams are irresistible — they bring a lot of character and depth to the space. Paired with soft, flowing curtains, the effect is cozy and refined.

I loved the Greek key fabric on the wingback chair; it’s a great example of how pattern can add personality without overwhelming a room.

Small details like that blue-and-white lampshade give the space charm and a touch of playfulness.

A closer look at the nailhead trim on the wingback — classic and well-crafted. These finishing touches make furniture look custom and timeless.

The slipcovered sofa felt fresh and approachable — ideal for everyday living while still maintaining a sophisticated look.

That chandelier was a statement piece, anchoring the room with style and proportion.

A second seating area featured a large light fixture and a charming blue rug that helped define the space and add color.

The kitchen was practical in size but rich in detail. Even with cameras and styling equipment in place, the wood ceiling and thoughtful finishes stood out and made the room feel warm and inviting.

The rounded entry with double wood doors was striking — a graceful welcome that set the tone for the rest of the house.

The home office was feminine and well-appointed, with a lovely desk and built-in shelving that made the space both pretty and functional.

A durable indoor-outdoor rug added pattern and practicality — a smart choice for high-traffic areas or rooms that need a casual touch.

More exposed beams in other rooms continued the theme of craftsmanship and layered texture throughout the house.

The large windows were a highlight, bathing rooms in natural light and beautifully framing the exterior views. The wood ceiling added warmth and architectural interest.

A tiny dog relaxed on a chaise — a sweet, lived-in moment that made the house feel homey and real.

Arriving at the house was an experience — the exterior was absolutely gorgeous. The architecture, material choices, and detailing all combined to create a memorable first impression.

I was drawn to the small architectural details like copper trim and a decorative chimney — elements that add polish and individuality.

Black gutters paired with white shutters created a crisp, classic contrast that felt both timeless and modern.
