Holiday Wreath Before and After: Festive Decoration Ideas

I love to reuse what I have.

I’m trying to be as frugal as possible and make small changes that have a big impact.

Here’s what this wreath looked like before (forgive the imperfect photo).

I put the wreath in the garage a year ago and completely forgot about it. It’s an apple wreath I’ve had for years — sweet, but I was ready for a change.

This season I gave it a simple holiday update: I removed a few of the apples and tucked in green Christmas balls, then added a small coastal accent for contrast. It was quick and fuss-free—just pull, place, and step back. If a project requires too much effort, it usually doesn’t happen for me.

After the holidays I’ll remove the green ornaments and the wreath will transition back to a non-holiday look with hardly any effort.

Yes, for those paying attention, I’ve already moved the plate I showed yesterday. Things here rarely stay the same for long.

Have you noticed that little corner of my dining room a few too many times? I took fresh photos from different angles to show the new paint and will share them soon.

I also refreshed another wreath for above the mantel and will post that update as well.
