Welcome to the 6th annual Fall Nesting series
Can you believe it? Fall is here. Nights are getting crisp and cool. Leaves are beginning to turn, and soon we’ll be curled up by the fire with a warm drink and a good book. It’s the season many of us wait for—cozy layers, comforting textures, and the ritual of making the home feel ready for cooler days. High fives all around, fall lovers: it’s time for 31 Days of Falling for Fall.
This season is all about falling in love with your home again. Expect a mix of inspiration, simple projects, and practical ideas designed to help you nest and enjoy autumn in an intentional, relaxed way.

I adore the slow change of the seasons, especially fall. Bit by bit, layer by layer, the season announces itself, and that gradual shift is part of the charm. I get energized by adapting my home slowly—one pine cone, one cozy blanket at a time—rather than rushing to “arrive” at a finished look.

My fall decorating is intentionally simple. Aside from a few velvety pumpkins on the mantel, some mums on the porch, or a bowl of apples and pine cones on the table, I tend to keep decor minimal. If I place a carved pumpkin on the porch by October 31 and it’s still intact, I consider it a decorating win.

I prefer subtle touches—textures, warm colors, and natural accents—over heavy themed or kitschy decor. Fall should be something you sense and feel, not something that overwhelms your space. For me, less is more: texture, layered blankets, natural elements, and a few meaningful pieces create the cozy feeling I want.

This series focuses on contentment and building a warm, authentic home from the inside out. I’ll share ideas for making your space more comfortable and functional for the season ahead—simple projects, organizing tips, recipes, and styling suggestions that help you settle in without stress.
When the world grows busy and full of one-more-project ideas, I find myself wanting to retreat and intentionally enjoy the season. The Fall Nesting series is about savoring autumn in a way that fits your life—no pressure, just thoughtful inspiration.

Even with busy seasons of moving or remodeling in past years, this autumn feels like it will be one of the most peaceful and settled in a while. I’m excited to share the nesting process with you and discover small ways to fall more in love with our homes.

What will I be posting about for 31 Days?
For 31 days I’ll post fresh fall inspiration for the home: cozy decorating tips, simple DIY projects I’m trying around the house and yard, seasonal recipes, organizing ideas, and ways to make everyday spaces feel warmer and more welcoming. I’ll share both styling advice and practical how-tos aimed at creating a comfortable, lived-in look.
