YI love one design element that instantly transforms a room: wall sconces. They add charm and make a space feel cozy and layered. Sconces distribute light in a way ceiling fixtures often can’t, creating soft pools of illumination that make rooms feel warmer and more inviting.
I’m especially happy with the lighting in our kitchen — the mood created by the sconces is my favorite part. I rarely use overhead lights in the evening because the softer glow from sconces feels more intimate and relaxed. I’m planning to add more sconces around the house because they make such a difference in ambiance.
Below are inspirational images featuring a variety of sconce styles and installations. You’ll also find sources for some of my favorite sconces included with the photos.
