Early Spring Decorating Ideas for Welcoming Gatherings

HHello! I’m Courtney, Melissa’s daughter. This week my mom and I have been talking about how excited we are for spring. Around Seattle we’re already spotting the first signs—more blue skies, warmer days, and the urge to spend time outdoors on our side patio. We’re also planning small spring refreshes around the house to brighten spaces and welcome the season.

To kick things off, we put together a simple early-spring mood board for inspiration. Spring updates don’t have to be complicated: try decluttering surfaces, swapping pillows, adding a fresh plant or bouquet, or introducing a lively accent color. Even small changes can make a room feel renewed.

What are you most looking forward to this spring? Any home projects planned? We’re setting up our new office today and organizing with a new Ikea wardrobe—can’t wait to share how it turns out.
