Cinnamon, vanilla, orange, clove, frankincense—my home smells like the holidays. I love those warm, cozy scents. Fragrance has a powerful effect on mood, and this season—especially after such a strange year—smells play an important role in our comfort and well-being.
We are the stewards of our homes, and what we bring inside affects everyone who lives there. I consider that responsibility daily: the objects I choose, the routines I keep, and the atmosphere I create all influence the health and happiness of my household. Intentional choices about scent and cleaning are more important than ever as we work to make our homes safe, healthy, and uplifting.

Scent affects our emotions, so choosing pure, natural fragrances is a meaningful part of home health. During the holidays it’s tempting to buy every seasonal product—candles, hand soaps, sprays, plug-ins—but not all labeled “fragrance” are safe. The word “fragrance” often hides a blend of synthetic chemicals that can irritate lungs, disrupt hormones, or even include carcinogens.
How you scent your home matters. For that reason I use only high-quality essential oils and natural ingredients for diffusers, room and linen sprays, cleaners, soaps, and personal care. Pure essential oils come from plants and flowers, and when they’re genuine they can support relaxation, reduce stress, lift the mood, and spark comforting memories. Be aware that not all products marketed as essential oils are pure—some contain synthetic additives or preservatives.

I always keep Christmas Spirit oil on hand during the holidays. It has a bright, festive aroma I love to diffuse, add to homemade cleaners, or blend into room sprays.

I enjoy creating diffuser blends that fill the house with scent—often better than a candle. My favorite oils are sourced from companies that prioritize purity and transparent practices. When you create an account with a reputable supplier you can access a range of toxin-free products and recipes for blends and sprays, plus community support to help you use oils safely and confidently.

Making a room spray is easy.
Add your chosen essential oils to a spray bottle and fill with water. A splash of witch hazel or vodka helps the oils disperse evenly if desired.
A favorite festive blend: 20 drops Christmas Spirit + 10 drops vanilla in a 4–8 oz spray bottle.
I’ve linked some favorite festive scents for you—you can customize any list to suit your preference.
Once your account is set up with a trusted supplier, you’ll have access to these oils and many other toxin-free products at member pricing. There’s no obligation to purchase regularly, but having an account makes reordering easy.
