Can you believe December is almost here? I’m thrilled that our little dining nook is finally finished, so I couldn’t resist setting a simple Christmas and winter table a bit early. The table feels cozy and inviting, and I’ll be adding a few more holiday touches around the room this week.
With our first grandson due February 14th, I’ve been daydreaming about the traditions and memories we’ll make together at Christmas and throughout the year. I’m so excited to share special moments with him and the rest of our family.
I couldn’t resist the tiny gingerbread house and snowflake appetizer plates — they were just the right festive touch layered over our all-season white dinnerware. I don’t use a full set of holiday dishes, but mixing a few seasonal pieces with everyday favorites keeps the look fresh and versatile. A little while ago I picked up greenish hobnail goblets that I love, and I pulled a few coordinating pieces to complete the table. I enjoy mixing and matching items so many pieces can work across seasons. All product sources are listed in the post.
I’m already imagining cozy Christmas mornings and dinners gathered around this table with little ones. It feels like the start of new family traditions.
Happy decorating and memory-making, friends.
