Hey friends! This week I’m carving out time for something I love: puttering. Maybe you have a different name for it, but the idea is the same — gentle, unhurried attention to small tasks that make home life a little nicer.
Puttering is to occupy yourself in an unhurried pleasant manner on a number of small tasks, while not concentrating on anything particular.

I mean, isn’t puttering possibly the best fall nesting activity? It’s relaxing yet still feels rewarding and productive. When you slow down to tend to small details around the house, the result is a cozier, more comfortable space.
Puttering might include a little fall nesting or cozying up a room, a quick clean, a bit of tidying or organizing, or all of the above. You might start in the kitchen and end up refreshing several rooms — or find yourself inspired to do a bit of shopping for something simple and lovely. The point is to follow small whims and enjoy the process.

Often I make a hot drink, put on some music, and let myself wander from one small task to another. It’s a gentle way to refresh the home and lift my mood without pressure.
Want to join me in some fall puttering this week?
I’d love to hear what you’re up to and whether you’re enjoying a little puttering, too. I’ll share what I accomplished around the house soon!
