As promised, here are some evening photos of our cozy bedroom. We’re really pleased with how the room turned out.
Although a few finishing touches remain, the space already feels exactly as we envisioned—calm and inviting at night, warm and welcoming during the day. Those are the moods we wanted to capture.
Most of the furnishings were already in the room; the biggest changes to the atmosphere came from paint and new curtains.

Five Tips to Create a Peaceful Bedroom

- Choose a calming color palette
Soft, muted tones provide a restful backdrop and help the room feel serene. Even when adding bolder patterns, a cohesive palette keeps the overall effect peaceful. - Make your bed inviting
Layer comfortable textures—quilts, pillows, and throws—to create a bed that looks appealing all day and feels like a treat at bedtime. - Keep clutter out of sight
Use baskets, drawers, and concealed storage to keep surfaces tidy so the bedroom remains a calm retreat rather than a catch-all. - Create a relaxing atmosphere
Soft lighting, a simple candle, and a touch of greenery go a long way toward making the space feel soothing. - Make your bed each morning
This small daily habit helps the room feel orderly and welcoming throughout the day.
A peaceful bedroom comes from thoughtful decorating choices and simple daily routines. With a little planning, you can create a calm, cozy sanctuary that supports good rest and a relaxed home life.
