DIY Candy Bar Ideas for Weddings and Parties

My daughter and I searched for simple, affordable ideas to create a beautiful, memorable wedding on a very tight budget.

One of our favorite touches was the candy bar. Placed centrally in the reception area, it doubled as both decoration and a popular destination for guests with a sweet tooth. We sourced candy from local beach shops and coordinated the colors to match the wedding palette. To reinforce the beach theme we added a “love is sweet” frame, starfish accents, and framed photos of the bride and groom.

To keep decorative starfish standing upright without sliding down glass jars, sticky tack worked perfectly.

We provided muffin papers so guests could easily take a handful of jelly beans while they mingled.

In addition to the display, we prepared a large basket of individually bagged candy to serve as party favors for guests to take home.

This candy bar idea is versatile and would be a delightful addition to any celebration—weddings, graduations, or other events.
