Summertime in the Pacific Northwest is especially delightful when the sun comes out. Lately we’ve been enjoying some beautiful, sunny days, and that bright weather has been influencing how I think about the rooms in our home.
Our house has large windows across the back that let in generous amounts of natural light year-round. That abundant sunlight shapes the choices we make for color, texture, and layout in the living areas.
As we move into our second summer here, I’ve been feeling energized to refresh the living room. The extra light makes everything feel more inviting and encourages small changes—swapping accessories, rearranging furniture, and reconsidering fabrics—to take full advantage of the season.
