Last year I bought this charming book nook kit for my husband as a Christmas gift. It was before our grandchildren were born, but I’m always thinking of playful ways to decorate for them. I also enjoy whimsical decor myself, and I love real, full-size book nooks just as much.

Now we have a book nook inside our book nook! I haven’t decided which shelf or which room it will live on permanently, but I’m confident we’ll find the perfect spot. For the moment it’s displayed on the shelves in the snug where we can enjoy it until the little ones are old enough to appreciate it.

There are so many delightful tiny details inside that it’s difficult to capture them all in photos.
When the grandkids are older we’ll move it within their reach so they can peer inside and explore the little scene.

Putting the kit together was a bit of a project, but well worth the effort.
