We’re adding a small cottage to the back of our home for my parents. If you missed it, I shared an update with photos of the progress on the addition in a previous post.
Today I’m sharing a design mood board for their kitchenette. They’ve picked the sweetest pieces for the space, and I’m thrilled their tiny cottage will be both highly functional and charming.

Planned finishes and features for the kitchenette:
- Languid Blue — Sherwin-Williams cabinet paint color
- Beadboard walls for a cozy, cottage feel
- Butcher block countertops for warmth and character
- Flooring to match our home: European white oak
- Oven with air fryer functionality
- Automatic espresso machine for easy coffee
- Classic retro-style white fridge and freezer
- Durable faucet with a clean, simple design
- Undermount bar sink for a seamless look
- Electric cooktop for convenient cooking
- Blue-and-white square accent tile for visual interest
- Ceramic subway wall tile for a timeless backsplash
- Classic retro under-cabinet range hood

If you missed it, I previously posted an update with photos showing the progress on the addition.
