If you’ve been reading The Inspired Room for a while, you already know about my seasonal obsession.
……………………{awkward silence.}……………………….

You know—the love affair I have with this time of year.
Oh, THAT affair! Yes, that one.
It’s pretty obvious, isn’t it? I don’t even try to hide it.
This is the fourth consecutive year I’ve devoted a multi-day series to autumn. I’m still excited about it!
Why am I so taken with fall?
Why not run a series in October on decorating with blue or 31 days of blogging tips? Those are great topics, but for me they’d miss the best weeks of the year. Each autumn is different, so there’s always something new to savor.

Autumn helps me put my heart in the right place.
Keeping priorities straight matters, because The Inspired Room has never been about creating the trendiest, most perfectly styled home. It’s about cultivating an authentic, warm, meaningful home that feels right from the inside out—one inspired by deeper values than surface appearance alone.

My Autumn Manifesto
Autumn is not defined by the outside temperature. It isn’t dependent on leaves turning color, and it’s not merely a prelude to winter. It’s more than pumpkins or holiday icons.
Autumn is a season for appreciating what we already have at home.
The simple daily rituals of homemaking—baking, nesting, decorating, and preparing for the holidays—bring contentment and a sense of peace with what’s right in front of us.
That’s why I love this season.
Autumn reminds me how to love the life and home I already have.
This season is a gift I don’t want to miss.
What small fall nesting ritual could you enjoy in your home today?
