Stop Being That Overwhelmed Mom: Fall Organization Tips for Busy Parents

Command Center The Inspired Room

31 days of falling for fall series

Fall is an especially busy season for our family, so creating systems and organizing schedules is essential. In the small hallway outside my kitchen I built our command center, and I love it. It’s a simple magnetic blackboard where we keep the most urgent papers, printed school and sports calendars, and anything that needs quick attention.

Honestly, without it I would more often be THAT mom.

I became motivated to set this up because I was THAT mom.

You know the one — the mom who returned her son to school three days before spring break ended.

The mom who lost the school picture order form and forgot to submit it two years running.

Yep. THAT mom.

If you find yourself at risk of being THAT MOM this fall, a command center might save you a lot of headaches.

Seriously — get one.

I’m over at The Decluttered Home today talking about one of my favorite topics: organization and command centers!

Come chat with me and tell me if you are THAT mom!
