Thank you for the warm welcome for our new pup, Finnegan. Adjusting to life with a puppy again has been a bit of a whirlwind, but he has quickly become even more precious than we imagined.
From the moment he arrived, we knew he was the perfect fit for our family.
Finnegan has spent the first couple of weeks settling into our home and learning its routines. He’s getting used to where to go potty (we’ve relied on a good steam cleaner for accidents) and figuring out how to get on and off the ottoman without tumbling over the edge.
He’s determined to climb the stairs and do everything Lily can do. Watching him explore and grow more confident every day is a joy.
Finnegan is hilarious and keeps us laughing constantly. He loves snuggling while we watch TV in the evenings, responds well to treat training, and enjoys playing with all his toys.
Best of all, he’s made a friend.
At first Lily wasn’t sure how to react to this tiny new housemate who suddenly appeared in her territory. Slowly, she warmed up to him. Within a week she started to watch his antics with amusement, then began to play with him—chasing around the house and yard. Now she greets him each morning and eagerly joins him on their little adventures.
They’ve been on neighborhood walks, explored our town, and even visited the beach together.
Seeing them together is the sweetest thing. Lily is visibly happier—wagging her tail more and playing with a joy we hadn’t seen before. Although she’s never had a puppy companion until now, she’s thriving and loving every minute.
And Finnegan is happy too, settled into his new home and surrounded by love.
