Below I’ve gathered a few of my favorite holiday finds that make me smile.
Animal Ornaments

I’ve been a sucker for animal ornaments ever since our Woodland Christmas Tree in 2012. They still bring me so much joy — like a reindeer in a knit sweater holding a marshmallow on a stick, ready to make a s’more. It’s irresistible.

Felt animals perched in tiny Adirondack chairs roasting s’mores around a campfire? Be still my heart. I love whimsical sets like these that capture a playful, cozy feeling.

Some ornaments have faces that make me laugh out loud — that little expression is everything.

And then… skiing poodles — how delightfully unexpected!

I truly can’t stop with the animal ornaments. A fluffy sheep ornament calls to me every time — so tactile and sweet.
Whimsical Coastal Ornaments

A few years ago I nicknamed our holiday style “Forest and Sea.” Living in Seattle between the woods and the water, that blend still feels right. I love ornaments with a whimsical coastal vibe — seashells, tiny boats, and playful sea creatures add a fresh, seasonal touch alongside traditional greenery.

Festive Mugs

My morning coffee ritual is one of my favorite moments, and choosing a special mug makes it even better. Festive Santa mugs or tree-and-snowman designs bring a little seasonal joy to everyday routines.

Village Houses

Many people collect holiday villages over the years, and we’ve enjoyed bringing ours back out. A handmade ceramic village or simple, affordable pieces can create a charming centerpiece or mantel display. Adding tiny lights and a sprinkle of faux snow completes the scene.

I always love decorating with fairy-light twig trees for their soft, cozy glow. We even keep a birch twig tree in our bedroom year-round — it feels warm and inviting any time of year.

Last year we used paper woodland trees on the dining table to create a tiny winter forest. It made the table feel festive without taking up too much space — perfect for a cozy holiday dinner.

One more animal ornament because I can’t resist: polar bear explorers on a sailboat. It’s whimsical, unexpected, and absolutely adorable.
