Funky Time’s Gallery Wall

You all did a fantastic job with the Gallery Walls! They were so inspiring — thank you to everyone who participated. I picked up several ideas I want to try. One particularly creative submission I featured in my DIY section is a Changeable Gallery Wall that’s playful and unique. If you enjoy swapping art and trying new layouts, you’ll want to see it.

There were so many beautiful gallery walls to admire. One that stood out (pictured above) combines a blue painted accent wall with a collection of framed black-and-white prints — a charming look from Funky Time. It’s a simple yet striking way to make a statement without overwhelming the room.

I’ll be publishing a few gallery wall roundups soon because I discovered so many great ideas worth sharing. You all created some wonderful arrangements, and I’m excited to highlight more of them.

And now, the question of the week that I’m sure has been on your mind:

Q. How is the bathroom coming along?
Oh, that. {clears throat} Yes — here’s an update.

A. We’ve had more trouble than expected with the bathroom paint. It wasn’t the bold teal color that gave us grief — I’ve accepted that — but the white trim and the board-and-batten finish caused more headaches than anticipated. After some experiments that didn’t go as planned, we re-primed the trim and are restarting the process. Frustrating, but necessary.

On a brighter note, my daughter and I decided to remove the old Formica backsplash and create a DIY replacement on a whim. It turned out quite cute, and I’m eager to share pictures and details. Barring any further setbacks, I hope the bathroom will be finished next week.

So, have you done your taxes? If you’re self-employed like me, did you procrastinate? That’s my project for today.
