Accent lighting plays a key role in both the function and the cozy atmosphere of a home. This week we shared many of our favorite lamps and light sources in stories on our Instagram @theinspiredroomstyle. We focused on accent and mini lamps that are easy to tuck into small spaces where you want a little extra light or warmth, and we included sources for several pieces readers often ask about.
So many followers told us the round-up was helpful, and we wanted to share it here on the blog as well. Searching for lighting online can feel overwhelming, so our curated recommendations aim to simplify the process and narrow down the best options.
Below you’ll find photos of a selection of lamps and a list of links and sources toward the end of the post. We’ve also saved these and more in our Lighting story highlight on Instagram. You’ll find additional lighting tips and inspiration linked at the bottom. Enjoy!

The mini rattan lamp featured in Courtney’s apartment is a frequently asked-about piece. It’s been out of stock at times, but in this post you’ll find several similar options and other compact lamps that provide the same warm, layered look.

I own two of the mini white and gold accent lamps and absolutely love them. Their compact shape and a slightly squared-off shade make them easy to tuck into narrow or crowded spots without a wide shade that spreads out too far.

A small white lamp with a rattan shade from my old kitchen is one of the most-asked-about items I’ve shared. The lamp itself is older and sometimes out of stock, but the rattan shade I used is still available and also comes in a larger size if you prefer a bigger silhouette.

This lamp style closely resembles the kitchen piece and offers the same natural, textured look.

Rattan shades are a simple, unexpected way to introduce natural texture to a room. Texture is the secret ingredient that makes interiors feel layered and inviting, and a rattan shade is an easy way to add that element.

Courtney uses a small glass lamp to warm up a dark corner in her apartment. Tip: pair a compact lamp with a color-changing remote-control bulb for warmer, cozier light in the evenings. Using amber or warm yellow settings creates a soft, welcoming glow in small spaces.
