10 Design Ideas to Jumpstart Your New Year Resolutions

Oh, hi there! I’m wrapping up plans for a new fitness room (not really), and I can already imagine getting so fit you might not recognize me.

Are you as relieved as I am that the holidays are over? Today will be a tough transition for my son (and anyone who encounters his post-holiday schedule) — he’s used to staying up late and sleeping in while enjoying a break from routine. For me, though, I welcome the return of regular rhythms and a bit of quiet. My apologies in advance to his teacher.

While I loved the holiday season, I’m ready to get back to normal life. I’m glad to be back blogging and eager to make progress around the house as the new year begins.

I will admit the tree is still up and fully decorated. I wish it were put away already.

I’m excited to share news about a special event hosted by one of my blog partners this week! It’s great to see bloggers returning with fresh inspiration.

{NOTE: It’s a relief to have something inspiring to write about — otherwise The Inspired Room might sound a little uninspired today. No one wants to hear me complain about taking down a Christmas tree.}

Here’s what you’ll find starting TODAY at Ten:

2010 marks the start of a new year and a new decade — a perfect time for fresh design ideas and practical solutions.

Over the course of ten days — January 4-8 and January 11-15 — Ten will present design ideas from experts to help you keep New Year’s resolutions with style. Each day begins at the event landing page and directs you to that day’s featured content.

  • Ten Days of content
  • Ten Resolutions to inspire change
  • Ten Design Experts sharing tips
  • Ten Prizes to be won

This event features notable guests and exciting prizes. Visit the Ten landing page each morning to find that day’s inspiration and resources — I’ll be checking in daily and hope to see you there.

PS. Come back to The Inspired Room tomorrow for the big reveal of one of the HomeGoods makeovers — I can hardly wait!

What are your plans for this first week of the year?

Small print.
Disclosure: Ten is organized by one of my blog partners, Home Workshop. I appreciate their support of The Inspired Room and promote partners I believe in. Consider this the required disclosure — transparent and straightforward.
