HHello — we’re Kylee and Courtney (Melissa’s daughters) sharing a simple, refreshing green juice recipe perfect for St. Patrick’s Day. We’ve had our juicer for years and lately we’ve been using it all the time. We love quick, healthy recipes, so we made a sister juicing party and put together this tasty green drink. It’s easy, bright, and feels like a little celebration in a glass.

Ingredients
- 3 apples
- 5 kale leaves (remove thick stems if present)
- 1 large cucumber
- 1 large handful of spinach
- About 1 inch of peeled fresh ginger (or a drop of ginger essential oil if you prefer)
- 1/2 peeled lemon (reserve the other half to squeeze into the glasses)
- A juicer
Makes about two tall glasses of juice.

Directions
This method is straightforward — no precise order required. Cut the apples and cucumber into thirds so they fit easily in the chute. Peel the lemon and use only half in the juicer, saving the other half to squeeze into each glass after juicing. If your kale has a tough stem, pull the leaves off and juice only the leafy parts. Feed the ingredients through your juicer and stir the finished juice before serving.
The result is a crisp, refreshing green juice that balances sweetness from the apples with the bright bite of cucumber, lemon, and ginger. It’s light, revitalizing, and genuinely enjoyable even if you don’t usually drink green juices.
Notes
- If you’re using essential oil instead of fresh ginger, use a single food-grade drop only.
- Adjust the amount of spinach or kale to taste — more greens increase the earthy flavor, while more apple adds sweetness.
- Serve immediately over ice or chill briefly for a colder drink.
Quick tip: Keep any extra juice in a sealed container in the refrigerator and drink within 24–48 hours for the best flavor and nutrients.
Disclaimer: Be careful when handling full glasses of juice — spills happen. We learned that the hard way during our juicing session, but it didn’t stop us from enjoying the drink.
We’re not professional food bloggers, just two sisters who love easy, healthy recipes. If you have favorite juicing combinations, we’d love to hear them and try more variations.
