As keepers of the home, we give our time and energy to our families around the clock. We create space for our children to play, keep clothes clean, prepare nourishing meals, volunteer, clean, and host holidays and celebrations. It’s honest, everyday work that deserves recognition.
Your value and worth matter. I want you to experience contentment and joy where you are right now. Everyone deserves a small, personal retreat in their home — a place to breathe deeply, remember life’s blessings, and smile. Whether it’s an entire room, a cozy corner, a single wall, a shelf, or a favorite chair, carve out a special spot just for you.
Please welcome my special blogging friend and guest today, Kim from Daisy Cottage. Daisy Cottage is a warm, inviting home that brings a smile. I invited Kim to share her own special place at Daisy Cottage to offer inspiration and encouragement.

Welcome Kim!

Thank you so much, Melissa, for inviting me to share one of my favorite spots at Daisy Cottage — my office and its view of the living room.

I love spending time in this room. It’s where I blog, write, read, daydream, and visit other inspiring bloggers. It’s a small space dedicated to simply being: a spot to find inspiration in books and magazines and to enjoy the cherished tokens of friendship I’ve received from fellow bloggers and readers. This room is a happy place and very dear to me.

My hope for every keeper of the home is that they fill their nests with colors and objects that make their hearts sing and that they claim a small space of their own. Surround yourself with the things that inspire you and remind you how unique and valuable you are — not only to your family but to the world.

Homemakers give so much and are one-of-a-kind souls who deserve a special place to call their own. A personal nook can restore creativity and calm, and becoming intentional about that space honors the care you give every day.
Do you have a special corner to call your own?
Tell us about it in the comments, or imagine what it could be like.
