If I could design one room forever, it would be the kitchen. Kitchens are endlessly inspiring to me. I enjoy studying every decision the designer made — from cabinet style and lighting to countertops, ceiling details, tile, flooring, layout and accessories. All of these elements working together create distinct, beautiful spaces.
When I search for inspiration I don’t limit myself by size or budget. Whether a kitchen feels grand or modest, I collect ideas from many sources and adapt the ones I love to suit my own home. Even spaces that aren’t perfect at first glance can teach you something: I look closely to identify what I would change and why, which has helped me refine my personal design taste over time.
This week I found several lovely kitchens I wanted to share, along with a selection of favorite kitchen posts from the blog below. Enjoy the images and ideas.
