TThis weekend was absolutely gorgeous in Seattle. We couldn’t stand the thought of staying indoors, so we took our dog Jack—who, by the way, was just crowned Pup of the Year—and the whole family for a picnic, then enjoyed a long walk through Magnolia. It’s a beautiful neighborhood with sweeping views of the city and Puget Sound.

Jack loved the breeze, the warm sun, and the wide open park overlooking the water. Really, we all did. There was something peaceful about the light and the view—perfect for a relaxed family afternoon.

Beyond the park and the water, Magnolia is lined with charming, well-kept homes. Every time I turned my head there was another beautiful house to admire.

I went intending simply to enjoy the sunshine with family (honest!), but I couldn’t resist snapping a few photos of the houses as we strolled by. Call it a neighborhood preview—just a few quick shots to share.

I spotted so many lovely homes that I’m planning to return with more time to photograph them properly. Consider this a first look. I can already tell you’ll be as enamored as I am when you see the rest.

Truly, any one of these houses would be a joy to live in. They felt warm, lived-in, and well loved.

Spectacular is the only word that comes close to describing the views from those porches and the overall charm of the neighborhood.

Don’t you love this house? Imagine sitting on that porch at sunset, watching the water and the city lights—what a setting.

And this one—so classic and inviting. It looks like the kind of home where families gather and make lasting memories.

I’ll definitely bring you back here for a proper photo tour soon. There are many more houses to share, and I can’t wait to show them.

PS. I’m finishing up my kitchen reveal post and hope to have it ready by tomorrow—maybe even tonight!
