Greetings, blog friends! How is your week going? I’ve had guests all week and I’m preparing for MOVE #2. No, I’m not moving to another house — I’m still moving into the same house we moved into in January.
Yes, I know it sounds a little crazy. I seem to take about six months to move from one place to another. Why are moves always so complicated? Maybe they always are.
The good news is that my house in Portland has a sale pending, with a backup offer — which feels like a small miracle in this economy. That means I can finally begin moving the rest of my belongings. Of course a sale isn’t final until it’s final, but I’m ready to bring my things home. It’s going to feel a bit like Christmas: sofas, chairs, accessories — oh my!

Meanwhile, I’m still dreaming up ideas for the new house, and I’ll be sharing the updates here as things evolve. I’ll ask for your input on a few design “issues” around the house — I’m gathering inspiration photos and can’t wait to see how things come together in the coming months.
Bear with me as I travel a few more times between Portland and Washington to get everything into one state. My brain feels a bit scattered, but I expect I’ll be settled and coherent soon.
