I came across House Beautiful’s July “Kitchen of the Month” and was struck by how lovely it is. Though it’s larger and more elaborate than my own kitchen, the layout, style, and palette felt familiar. Over the past few years I’ve grown very fond of my kitchen—designing it has been one of my favorite projects.
We expect to move to the city and will likely live in an older house that needs work, so a kitchen renovation is probably in our future. I don’t mind at all—kitchens are the kind of projects I enjoy. Thinking about designing another kitchen makes leaving this home a little easier. It’s exciting to imagine creating a new space tailored to our family’s needs and tastes.
Kitchens are my favorite.
