SI’ve finally set the date for our fourth annual Fall Nesting Party! I know it’s a bit spontaneous, but I’m as excited as ever that autumn is here. Let’s see what you’re planning for the season.
Remember: fall nesting around here isn’t about being completely prepared for fall — it’s about getting in the mood for it.
I like to let the seasons unfold slowly. I keep things simple and manageable. No pressure, no elaborate projects required. You won’t be expected to bust out a power saw and carve tiny wooden pumpkins by Friday. Take your time.
Do at least one small thing to welcome fall. It can be a tiny change, a simple decoration that signals the season’s arrival, a favorite idea from last year, or a project you plan to tackle this fall. Then link it up Friday, over the weekend, or next week so we can all share inspiration. If you don’t blog, post it on Facebook or mention it in the Friday comments. Just join in — don’t just lurk.
I promise you: you can’t spend time on The Inspired Room this season without catching a little fall enthusiasm. I make it my mission to convert even the most devoted summer lovers into fall fans.
We kick things off on Friday with the yearly (albeit impromptu) Fall Nesting Party. Beginning October 1, we’ll follow that with 31 days of holiday inspiration to get ready for fall and the winter holidays. It’s going to be wonderful.

So — Friday: we get our fall on.
Confession: I’ve already enjoyed a fall drink from Starbucks. I’m not as big on the hot pumpkin spice latte as I am on gingerbread lattes or pumpkin scones, but the pumpkin frappuccino? Absolutely delicious — perfect for those in-between days when summer and fall are teasing each other. You’re welcome for the recommendation.
