Secret Santa Gift Ideas and Game Rules for Holiday Parties

Secret Santa Gifts

Office parties and school holiday activities bring fun and camaraderie—but working from home as a blogger can feel lonely during the season. To change that, Stefanie from Brooklyn Limestone organized a Secret Santa among a group of bloggers, and I joined in because it sounded like a lot of fun. I haven’t participated in a Secret Santa in years!

Our exchange is relaxed and creative: gifts can be store-bought or handmade, and there’s no dollar limit. The goal is simply to enjoy sharing thoughtful surprises. To make it more entertaining, we’re revealing some of the gifts on our blogs so readers can guess who sent them. Along the way, you’ll likely pick up a few gift ideas for your own exchanges.

Here’s how our swap works: each participant will both send and receive two gifts by mail. It’s a simple way to spread holiday cheer across the blogging community.

I received my first package this weekend, and it’s a wonderfully practical and pretty gift idea. Inside was a mason jar filled with decorative tapes, ribbons, and gift tags—everything needed for festive wrapping. I absolutely love it. Now I’m ready to wrap presents with style!

The jar of supplies is clever and charming—exactly the kind of thoughtful, usable gift that brightens the season. It’s also made me curious: who sent it?

Possible Secret Santa senders

The group invited to participate includes a variety of creative bloggers, and any one of them could be behind this gift. Here are the participants in our Secret Santa exchange:
